A: We offer our program in 4 weekend modules for certification or individually take any module for continued education. Our next program runs in the Summer of 2018 with each module corresponding to the 3 trimesters of pregnancy and the fourth trimester to postpartum.
Transition to Pregnancy: June 21-23, 2019
Second Trimester Boost: July 12-14, 2019
Preparing for Birth: August 2-4, 2019
Postpartum Recovery: August 23-25, 2019
Q: What are the hours of the training?
A: Fridays 12-6pm, Saturdays & Sundays 12-6:30PM

Q: What books do I need?
A: Yoga Mama Method provides you with a workbook each module and you will need to purchase the "Yoga For Pregnancy: Poses, Meditations, and Inspiration for Expectant and New Mothers" by Leslie Lekos & Megan Westgate (less than $15) and recommend that you purchase
"The Female Pelvis: Anatomy and Exercises" by Blandine Calais-Germian.
Q: What is the cost of the program?
A: $500 each module and we honor the YogaWorks Discount for YW Alumni and Teachers.
Q: Do you offer scholarships?
A: Yes, we offer one scholarship awarded every year in March.

Q: Who can take this program?
A: Mother-to-be, Yoga Teachers, Midwives, Doulas, Expecting Parents, Movement Teachers, Birth Workers, Personal Trainers, Fitness Instructors, Grandparents, Health Professions, and any individual interested in working with mamas. If you are looking to teach Prenatal or Postnatal at a yoga studio, they require that you have completed your 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and a Yoga Alliance approved 85-hour Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training.
Q: What happens if I miss part of the training?
A: Yoga Alliance requires 85-hours with contact hours so the hours missed will need to be made up in a future Yoga Mama Method Prenatal Training or can be schedule in a private session.

Q: Where do I park my car?
A: Free street parking on Redwing Street parallel street behind the studio or 2.5 hour underground parking off of Yolanda and Ventura Blvd with YogaWorks stamped validation.
Q: How do we start each day of training?
A: We start each day of training with our physical asana practice so please bring your yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing.
Q: Do I need to bring yoga props? Blocks? Bolster? Blankets? Strap?
A: No need, the studio space provides the yoga props so just bring your yoga mat.
Q: Will I have to do homework?
A: If you are taking the program to obtain the certification, then yes there are 5 sequences assignments that you will need to complete by the last day of your program.
Q: Is there an exam at the end of the program?
A: No, there is no exam or quizzes throughout the program.
Q: Can I become a Prenatal Yoga Teacher at YogaWorks by taking this program?
A: Whereas I cannot guarantee you a place on any schedule, we have had great success with our alumni. For our approved alumni, you can audition to be added to the YogaWorks Prenatal sub list. Most of our alumni start teaching prenatal yoga right out of the gate with their local studios and substitute teaching.
Q: Is the program approved through Yoga Alliance?
A: Yes, Yoga Mama Method is a Registered Prenatal Yoga School (RPYS) and we are Yoga Alliance 85-hour Prenatal approved for our alumni to register as a Register Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT).
Q: Who are the trainer(s) of this program?
A: Chrissy Canning Beutel, E-RYT 500, RPYT, is your master trainer with two decades of teaching experience and a passion to serve mamas. We also have the best of the best guest speakers, experts in their field with doctors, doulas, OBGYNs, Acupuncturist, Childbirth Educators, LMFT, and Postpartum Specialist.
Q: Can I take this program if I am or if I get pregnant?
A: Oh yes absolutely, we encourage pregnant women to take this course.
Q: Do we get meal breaks?
A: Yes, we typically take a break after our asana practice and there are many food places walking distance from the studio with Whole Foods, Starbucks, Chipotle, Hummus Bar, Bleecker Street, and many more restaurants.
